The wrought-iron fence around the Confederate Monument was replaced by the Historic Homes Association, Cross of Honor #2553 – United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Gonzales County Historical Commission. Additionally, the World War I cannon was relocated from the National Guard Armory/Victoria College to a site north of DAR building, east of Memorial Museum. The Presbyterian Church constructed the first labyrinth in Gonzales on the east side of their church building.
