As the longtime lead voice of San Antonio’s Grupo Vida and its country counterpart The Electric Cowboys, Martinez helped rack up three Grammy nominations, shared stages with Toby Keith, Clay Walker, and Jo Dee Messina, and toured alongside the Dixie Chicks on their “Fly” Tour. That’s the resume of someone who could have coasted on one sound for the rest of his career.
