In April, a dedication ceremony was held for the Oak Forest Bridge, which had been relocated from Oak Forest to East Avenue Park, spanning over Kerr Creek. The new location of the bridge allows for improved access and enjoyment by park visitors. Additionally, thirty new green trash receptacles with “star” designs were placed throughout the downtown area, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits to the community.
